3/3/2021 0 Comments Sword Class - March 14, 2021Sword class with Sensei Guy Witt and Sensei Kurt Ecker - will focus on fundamentals of sword.
$20 fee for participation and must register in advance. Class will be held at the Camdenton Dojo. 3/1/2021 0 Comments March 13, 2021 - focused classRegistration required by Thursday, March 11 at 8 p.m.
$20 for the karate portion and $10 for the sword portion. Payment due prior to or on day of session. Note: Bring your own snacks and drinks. If staying for entire session, please be sure to bring a lunch. A four hour karate/sword class for an intense focus on katas, 8-directionals, one-steps and self-defense, sparring, kumite drills, and bo. One-on-one focus with each student with Sensei Dan throughout the session to help ensure katas and techniques are honed. 9 - 10 a.m.: Kids and Adult Class combined 9-9:25: Warm-ups, basics, kicks, and sitting side kicks, stance focus – more of each technique 9:30 – 10 a.m.: Katas – group and one-steps/self-defense - individual observation of katas 10 – 11 a.m. Kids and Adult Class combined 10—10:05 a.m. break 10:05—10:20 a.m. targets and additional kick work 10:20—10:35 a.m. one-steps and self-defense 10:40—11 a.m. individual katas in small groups - individual observation of katas 11 a.m. to noon Advanced class - Students of at least Orange belt 11—11:20 a.m. Eight Directionals 11:20 – 11:35: Advanced One-steps, self-defense, and wrist grabs, Kumite drills 11:35 to noon: Bo – Toma Bo and Tokumine No Kun Bo break for lunch at NOON 12:20 to 1:30 p.m. Sword Class 12:30 to 12:45 p.m. Turning Swallow 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. Kiso Iai – Six Basic Cuts Registration required by Thursday, March 11 at 8 p.m. $20 for the karate portion and $10 for the sword portion.
