Bryce Holt's "The Mentor"
"For the wise man, violence is in his last resort. So if the wise man pulls his blade, it must shed blood." I pondered my mentor's words. Just one year ago, I would have only heard the second part, ignoring the wisdom of the first.

When I first arrived as an apprentice, I had anger and fear in me. Now I have philosophy and peace etched into the very marrow of my bones. I will be harmony in the chaos, beauty in an imperfect world.

My teacher has shown me strength and mastery in the stillness of my own heart. I left indecision behind, learning to ask, in all situations, what the highest version of myself would do. Because he was generous with his time and knowledge, I see the not as it is, but as it can be - where even the smallest gesture can ripple through the fabric of fate.
